Get ready for the recruitment meeting

Congratulations on getting through the first stages of the recruitment process. You have made the first step, now it is time you make the next ones.

You must have heard about us, but before you meet us online, we will tell you a few words about our company.

Below you will find some information on both the company and the interview itself, which will help you to prepare for the meeting. We hope that this makes you find out how cool it is to work among Capgeminers.

We work in a hybrid model, that’s why most of our interviews happen remotely. This why you have an experience of a real conversation from the comfort of your home.

Welcome to the Capgemini world

Before we talk about ourselves in detail, let the figures speak for us:

11K+
employees in Poland
350K+
employees all over the world
50+
countries

And an interesting fact: Capgemini was founded in Grenoble, France, in 1967, and at the beginning its headcount was … 7.

We are a team of fantastic people. The people stand behind our success and owing to them we are the leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation. So you will join the group of experts and specialists.

Capgemini is a place friendly for young people who are at the beginning of their professional career, as well as for experienced specialists who are eager to share their knowledge with others.

Where are our offices?

We have been present in Poland since 1996. The company has its offices in Krakow, Katowice, Wrocław, Poznań, Opole, Warsaw, Lublin and Gdańsk.

Our Business Lines

Capgemini is divided into Capgemni Global Business Lines. These are “sectors” in which we operate. In Poland, we have 7 of them. Below, you can find information on two of them.

Business Services

It is the biggest business line of Capgemini Poland, with the headcount of nearly 5,000 individuals! Payment on time, proper posting of expenses, HR administration, or procurement process service? Such projects have no secrets before the Business Services specialists.

    Shared and Group Functions

Teams operarating under this name are created by extraordinary people who support Capgemini Group in such areas as IT, HR, finance, procurement, training, recruitment marketing and many more.

In these teams, foreign language literacy is of key importance. And an interesting fact: at Capgemini Poland we speak more than 30 languages! But don’t be afraid — you do not have to know all of them. The only language we all have to speak is English.

In what areas can you develop in the Business Services and Shared and Group Functions department?

      • finance and accounting
      • consulting and business process transformation
      • intelligent and robotic business process automation
      • management controlling
      • procurement and bookkeeping
      • analysis and market research
      • supply chain
      • human resources management

Let’s get ready for the interview!

You are just about to take part in online interview with one of our employees. An interview is a bit like a first date. Yes, a bit stressful, but full of expectations – on both sides, and the aim of this meeting is to get to know each other. Remember that the first impression is the key impression – in most cases it can impact your chances to succeed. Therefore, get ready for this meeting. Be natural, but leave improvising aside. Here are some tips.

      1. Get acquainted with the communicator we use (you will find this information in the invitation to the interview).

Good advice #1: before a meeting with us, have a meeting with your friends. It’s the best way to get used to being on camera and get a positive feedback from people you trust before the official interview.

Good advice #2: click many options beforehand to check what they are doing, find the app’s menu, learn to mute your mic – all so you know where to find useful options during the meeting.

      2. Arrange the setting and show yourself in a favourable light.

Good advice #1: carry out the test interview from the place where you will talk with us (best if it can be the same time of the day). In this way you can see in the background all we will see later on and to find the best arrangement for you!

Good advice #2: for the comfort of both sides, take care of proper lightning – both a very bright face and a shade instead of you will impact your impression.

      1. Inform your household members of the date and time of your interview. We are open to meeting new people, but think whether you want to introduce to us all your family at the start. A „do not disturb” sign on your door can help with that.

Good advice: if something unforeseen occurs (e.g. your dog starts to bark loudly), don’t panic, face it! Just master the situation. Let us know about the problem and solve it as fast as you can. Bringing the stressful situation under control may have a positive impact on your assessment.

      2. Mute the applications which may hinder the conversation. Remember also to mute your phone.

Good advice: but have your phone within reach It may prove handy in case of technical problems. Also you should be able to reach if we had to contact you (accidents happen on both sides!).

      3. Remember that it’s a video call, not a phone call!

Good advice: during conversation, look into the camera or at the recruiter, not at the things behind the computer. Also do not jump on different apps in your computer (trust us, we can see that!). If you have to check something important, let us know what you are looking for and we will give you time for it.

      1. Have a sheet of paper, a pen and… a glass of water within reach.

Good advice: write down questions you would like to ask to the recruiter. You may forget them when under stress. Appropriate preparations may impact your impression in a god way.

      2. Dress up!

Good advice: an online interview is still an interview. Remember that the first impression is made only once. Business casual dress code will be the best – choose a plain shirt, a jacket or an elegant top.

      1. Be punctual!

Good advice: Join the meeting 5 minutes before the scheduled time. In case of technical problems, you will manage to solve them or inform us about them. Nothing ruins the atmosphere like starting a meeting with „sorry I’m late!”. Even if your computer will have an unexpected update, but we will know about it earlier, it’s gonna be a different situation.

Remember that people on the other side of the screen want to meet you and check whether you can blend in with our teams. You can do the same! Get to know your future responsibilities and your career path. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask them. Good luck!

Interview is also a good moment for the manager to learn about your aspirations, expectations and motivation behind your intention to join Capgemini.

Remember that conversation means dialogue, so if you want to learn more on the job description or working style of a given team, this is a good time to ask questions.
