– Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I’m responsible for one of our clients in the automotive perimeter in Spain. From my role in the sales area, I’m in charge of the bookings and our go to market, which requires a special sensitivity and customer oriented mind.

My daily work includes a lot of different tasks, client meetings, internal meetings to study the best strategy to succeed with an opportunity, business development for future projects, etc.

With everything based on a strong teamwork relationship, strong team for big goals.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

One of the biggest strengths of Capgemini is the team. All of us work with a common goal, and even if we have different opinions, discussions are very productive driving towards mutual agreement and pushing together to achieve the best performance.

Another key point is the freedom offered by Capgemini, the possibility to move to other projects, other internal areas, and the promotion opportunities, to have a long career in the company. In the past I have had the opportunity to travel across countries and work with clients from different geographies and grow my horizons. This has helped me in my professional growth, but also in my personal growth, as it has allowed me to experience different cultures, work environments, and much more.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I can say it in one word: Values. I have been with Capgemini since the beginning of my career, many years ago. I have had the chance to work with important OEMs and suppliers, abroad and in my country, and have gradually moved up through different roles into my current position, and in this journey if there is one clear highlight, it is Capgemini’s Values, which support us in finding our own way.

How are you working towards the future you want?

Capgemini is a company where you can grow on an upward path, it’s a very empowering and enabling organization. I’m just one example of that, af someone who started their career as a consultant eight years ago to now being a manager. In my new role I see myself growing towards the position of Key Account Manager, and ensuring that I am able to lead my team to success.

It’s important to raise your hand and show your curiosity for new challenges, make proposals and suggestions, because you will be listened to! Teams and leadership are based on teamwork, and your manager will be always happy to help you with the next steps in your career.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Don’t be shy, at Capgemini networking is important, people will be happy to support you, and the welcome package is quite powerful, so ask questions, introduce yourself, and start doing!

My second piece of advice is on the “start doing”: Proactivity is a must in Capgemini, show your good energy, your entrepreneurial spirit, and don’t stop looking for new challenges.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

It was inspiring to see how Capgemini stayed true to its Values even during these tough times of pandemic, ensuring that people felt engaged in their projects. I felt that colleagues who were in a difficult situation were given full support both mentally and work-wise, and this was highly motivating. It has made me feel part of a large community and increased my sense of belongingness to the organization.
